Halflings are a short, nimble people who can dart here there and everywhere before you can blink. Their irascible natures makes them natural Rogues, and they seem to lack common sense as well as sturdiness. They live in small communities, or 'shires', which resemble human dwellings in most ways, apart from those wealthy halflings who can afford 'burrows' which are houses set into the side of hills.

Their name derives from a Human term for their stature, though they do seem to have a little of this and a little of that in their heritage. They are hairy folk, particularly on their oversize feet. This hair is nearly always a medium to light brown in colour.

Recommended Classes: Monk (Physical/Defensive), Ranger (Eagle Clan) or Rogue (Cutpurse).
